Ling Peng is a storyteller and one of the UK’s most well-known players of the erhu, an ancient, captivating and highly expressive instrument that summons the soul of Chinese culture. In this specially created and intimate performance, Ling takes the audience both into the heart of Chinese heritage and storytelling, and on a deeply personal journey through her experiences growing up in China from the 1960s to the 1980s before leaving in 1991, just as the country entered a period of rapid change.

Storytelling through the Erhu is an entertaining and moving fusion of music and narrative that brings the past and present of China to life through the thrilling voice of a unique artist.
