‘Miss Baines’ takes inspiration from a real-life Lancastrian woman who worked as a Council Housing Officer, inspecting people’s homes in the 1930s/40s.

The show is a quick-fire, comical guide on ‘how to clean the home’ vintage-style, taking inspiration from the old ‘Pathe’ newsreels and documentaries.

Join Miss Baines, as she encourages the audience to “roll up their sleeves” and get involved. Whether it’s scrubbing giant knickers on a washboard whilst doing the Charleston, or throwing socks into the washing basket, this accessible show includes everyone – no matter their age!
