‘Please Drive Carefully’ is the new show from a cappella comedy quartet The Pocket Choral Society.
Funny, touching, surprising and original it is a musical, comedic and warm-hearted celebration of village life. Featuring harmonious singing, eclectic song-writing and lots of participation, the show has entertained village halls from Northumberland to Hampshire, Norfolk to Herefordshire.
The Pockets sing unamplified, combining lots of their own songs – about Food, Dogs, Ash Dieback, Potholes and the Poor State of Homecare for the Elderly in the UK – with new arrangements of more well known numbers from songwriters such as Lennon & McCartney, Flanders & Swann and Tom Waits in an intimate and relaxed way.
