Spring2020

Cancellations due to Coronavirus (18/03/2020)

We are sure it will come as no surprise to you that, following the government’s advice to avoid non-essential social contact, we have made the decision to cancel all Spot On shows for the rest of the Spring season.

This is disappointing news for us all but it is important that we remain safe in these difficult times. For more information please read our official public statement in our NEWS section.

We hope to be back in the Autumn when Spot On celebrates 25 years of bringing fantastic professional performing arts direct to the communities of Lancashire. If you would like to donate to the future of Spot On events in Lancashire you can visit our PayPal Donate Page.

About Us

Spot On Lancashire is a strategic, grassroots arts service run by people who love to support volunteers in isolated communities and in urban library settings because we are passionate about audiences and believe they deserve a great night out on their doorstep. We support people to promote professional theatre, dance, music and children’s shows in their community venues for everyone to enjoy.

Our 105 promoters love live arts events, and in turn they enable professional companies to meet new audiences, reach the corners other arts services cannot reach and sustain their local community and its economy. Together we aim to enable people to be no further than 5 miles from one of our events and we know our audiences are local, loyal and love what we do.

Think of us as a local theatre in many places, offering “pop -up” nights out run by your community, for you.

The service is supported with government investment by Arts Council England, additional financial support from Lancashire County Council and four local authorities.

“It’s like being part of a secret club. Once you’ve seen a professional show in a Spot On venue for the first time you’ll wonder why (and how) you didn’t get involved earlier.”
