The Great Austerity Debate

An interactive play imagining the future beyond austerity.

Is austerity inevitable?
Is it fair?
Are there alternatives?

Megan K is juggling low-paid work, ever-deeper debt, two kids and a fancy new red handbag. Hers is a world where the phrase, “We are all in this together” rings hollow. A world where austerity means nothing – it’s just normal. But because this is forum, it’s a world that the audience can change.

The play tackles austerity at a very human level, looking at choices made by the characters and giving the audience the opportunity to step in and change how the story plays out.

Suitability: Suitable for ages 16+
