Memories of an Indian Childhood

Sita Brand

Be transported to Bombay… dusty, crowded and vibrant…   Welcome to Sita’s world of large families, stubborn hairdos and romantic train journeys. Amongst the light-hearted stories about friendships and games there are darker memories all intertwined with the folk tales that influenced her childhood, told from a cross-cultural perspective.

Sita is an accomplished storyteller who blends the myths and folktales that have shaped human lives over thousands of years with the current stories that matter.
