Time to go Berzerk with new circus show

A hilarious and highly-skilled circus show for all the family will travel to two Lancashire venues at the end of February.

Circus Berzercus will take their show “A Mismatch Made In Devon” to Burnley Library on Thursday 25 February at 4.30pm followed by a performance at Tockholes Village Hall at 6.45pm on Friday 26 February.

Tickets for the Burnley show can be purchased directly from the library or by calling 0300 123 6703 for more information and for the Tockholes performance the number is 07889 105969. The show is suitable for ages five and above.

Ladies and gentlemen… we are proud to present the Great Phil-dini, champion juggler, master of manipulation and dexterity, a legend of the circus world. Unfortunately, we must also announce that he will be accompanied by his hapless stagehand Horace, whose eagerness to entertain outshines his talent.

The Great Phil-dini has performed his spectacular solo show in the grandest of venues all over the world, from Venice to Vegas, whilst Horace has carried his bags. After much badgering he has reluctantly agreed to allow Horace some of the limelight. Horace’s circus skills are somewhat limited so it will take all of Phil-dini’s talent and patience to train him up ready for the big show.

Audiences can expect spectacularly high unicycling, breath-taking ladder balancing, juggling and a touch of magic, all interwoven with physical comedy and mayhem.

Phil Blackmore, star of “Britain’s Got Talent”, teams up with Covent Garden Jester Of The Year, Rupert Elford, in this all new Circus Berzercus double-act from Devon.

The shows have been programmed by Spot On Lancashire as part of their spring season of touring, taking professional arts events to rural venues and libraries across the county.

Speaking ahead of the Lancashire dates, Circus Berzercus’ Rupert Elford said:

Phil Blackmore and I are very excited to be touring our new show in Lancashire. It’s a collaboration between two very experienced solo performers to create a brand new comical double act. Phil is bringing highly technical juggling and balancing expertise, whilst I will be creating problems and generally instigating mayhem!”
